The Cholsey & Wallingford Railway Preservation Society have announced their live steam running dates for 2011.

For anyone not aware, the railway has been under the Preservation Societies control since summer 1981. Read more

Bill Vanryne coming to Pinewood in January

Bill Vanryne, who was involved with the Bluebird Project at Coniston, is holding a talk at Bracknell Railway Society headquarters, Pinewood Leisure Centre, on Friday 28th January 2011.

Vanryne will be talking about Donald Campbell, who between himself and his father set eleven land and water speed records, and the famous Bluebird boat.

First Great Western customers promised better service

Overcrowding for commuters travelling between Twyford and London could be a thing of the past as measures are being undertaken to improve the service.

Managing director of First Great Western Mark Hopwood met Maidenhead MP Theresa May before Christmas to discuss issues raised by commuters and said steps were being taken to improve travel from Twyford.
