Public Openings of Clubroom at Christmas

The Society’s HQ clubroom at No 6 Pinewood Centre is to be open to the public from 12.noon to 3.00pm on Sundays 4th and 11th December.  There will be displays of railway modelling and layouts in operation.

On 4th, there will be a Christmas market organised by the Wokingham Without Parish Council in the adjacent building.

These two days are also when Pinewood Miniature Railway will be operating their Santa Special trains.  All seats on these are now booked, but why not view them from Station Parade.  If you are already booked on a train, visit our open days before you leave the site.

Bill Vanryne coming to Pinewood in January

Bill Vanryne, who was involved with the Bluebird Project at Coniston, is holding a talk at Bracknell Railway Society headquarters, Pinewood Leisure Centre, on Friday 28th January 2011.

Vanryne will be talking about Donald Campbell, who between himself and his father set eleven land and water speed records, and the famous Bluebird boat.
