Public Openings of Clubroom at Christmas

The Society’s HQ clubroom at No 6 Pinewood Centre is to be open to the public from 12.noon to 3.00pm on Sundays 4th and 11th December.  There will be displays of railway modelling and layouts in operation.

On 4th, there will be a Christmas market organised by the Wokingham Without Parish Council in the adjacent building.

These two days are also when Pinewood Miniature Railway will be operating their Santa Special trains.  All seats on these are now booked, but why not view them from Station Parade.  If you are already booked on a train, visit our open days before you leave the site.

Now Wokingham Station set for improvements?

A Berkshire railway station could be replaced and a new access road built as part of plans approved by councillors according to the BBC website.

Wokingham Borough Council said it would contribute £5.5m towards the scheme which would include rebuilding the town’s station building.
